Daniella leads Mitchell Sandler's mortgage regulatory practice group and advises mortgage lenders on regulatory compliance and enforcement matters. She regularly counsels clients on state and federal laws relating to fair lending, advertising, licensing, and privacy with particular experience helping mortgage lenders comply with the requirements of the Truth in Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Fair Housing Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Bank Secrecy Act, and state regulatory requirements.

 
 

tyler wichmann, General Counsel, Marlin Mortgage Capital

As a highly experienced legal professional with over a decade of practice, Tyler is a member of the North Carolina Bar, the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, and the United States Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit. He currently serves as the General Counsel at Marlin Mortgage Capital, overseeing the legal department for the organization to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws related to mortgage origination and servicing. Throughout his career, Tyler has been involved in numerous complex business transactions, including acquisitions and joint ventures, and has acted as lead internal counsel to manage and negotiate examinations and investigations from various government entities, including the CFPB, HUD, and state Attorney Generals.

 
 

Leslie watson-stracener, Managing Director, Grant Thornton, LLP

Leslie is a Managing Director in Grant Thornton's Risk Advisory Services practice where she serves as the Regulatory Compliance Capability Leader, with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and consulting. A Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager and Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer, Leslie transitioned to consulting in 2015, following a successful career of over 15 years in banking and mortgage services. Leslie specializes in banking and mortgage services and has served numerous large, financial services clients with CFPB, OCC, FRB, and Department of Justice enforcement actions, complaints and consent orders, and the associated regulatory remediation actions. Her experience includes assisting clients with the design and implementation of controls to help clients identify and mitigate compliance and operational risks.
