Jenna Burke is a Senior Associate at Mitchell Sandler LLC. Prior to joining the firm, she was Associate General Counsel for the Consumer Bankers Association, a trade association representing the nation’s leading retail banks. As an advocate for financial institutions, Jenna has authored several comment letters on proposed federal rules and public policies facing the banking industry.
Jenna also brings state and federal regulatory enforcement experience to the firm, having worked for both the State of New Mexico’s Financial Institution Division and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s Consumer Enforcement Unit. Her expertise includes evaluating fair lending practices, safety and soundness issues, state licensing, and consumer compliance for banks and non-bank entities. She previously worked as a state prosecutor in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she litigated bench trials, jury trials and presented cases to the Grand Jury.
Jenna received her J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of law, and her B.A. from Loyola University Chicago, magna cum laude. She is a Director for Women in Housing and Finance, Inc.
