Chris Napier is a Partner at Mitchell Sandler LLC. Chris advises banks and financial service companies on a variety of regulatory compliance and enforcement matters, including matters involving fair lending, fair servicing, unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices (UDAAP), Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA), and deposit account issues. He frequently represents banks during examinations and investigations by the Department of Justice, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Reserve Board, and state regulators. He also has significant experience conducting compliance and fair lending risk management program assessments and has assisted banks in managing enterprise-wide internal compliance reviews.
Prior to joining Mitchell Sandler, Chris was with Buckley Sandler focused on the financial service industry, and had a decade-long career in retail banking and lending before entering the law.
Chris received his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law, magna cum laude, where he served as Executive Editor of the Rutgers Law Review, and his B.S. from Rutgers University, cum laude.
