Arrin Richards is an Associate at Mitchell Sandler LLC. Arrin is a Washington, DC area native, having returned to the area after beginning his legal practice in Nashville, TN. Prior to joining the firm, Arrin was an Associate at Neal & Harwell, PLC in Nashville, where he advised clients on corporate formation and governance, commercial transactions, M&A and civil litigation. Arrin’s prior firm experience includes drafting corporate governance documents, drafting and negotiating multi-year commercial services, technology vendor and M&A agreements, and representing businesses in state and federal civil litigation and AAA commercial arbitration. Arrin also brings in-house counsel experience to the firm, having previously served as Assistant General Counsel for Vanderbilt University. As Assistant General Counsel, Arrin’s primary clients included Vanderbilt’s technology commercialization center, trademark licensing department, office of sponsored research, athletic department and innovation and entrepreneurship center.
Arrin previously served in leadership roles in several bar association and community service organizations, including President of the Nashville affiliate of the National Bar Association, and as a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Arrin currently serves as a Mentor and Board Member with Make A Play Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization that prepares underrepresented collegiate student athletes for executive careers in competitive industries, that has placed over 60 student athletes in full-length internships, graduate programs and full-time post-graduate roles.
Arrin earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School and his B.A. from Morehouse College.
